Micropile

Effortless Installation, Exceptional Strength, Unmatched Speed

Why Micropile?

Micropiles are small-diameter piles made from high-strength materials like carbon steel or ductile cast iron, driven into the ground to provide additional load-bearing capacity for structures. They are ideal for both new construction and foundation reinforcement in existing buildings, especially in areas with weak soil or limited access. Micropiles are often used where traditional foundation methods are impractical, offering a flexible, cost-effective solution with minimal disruption. Their installation requires minimal equipment, making them suitable for tight spaces or urban environments where heavy machinery is not feasible.

Why Choose Us

Building Stability, Even in Tight Spaces

Efficient & Cost-Effective

The micropiling process minimizes material waste, ensuring that clients only pay for the materials used, making it more economical than other small-diameter piling systems.

High Production Rate

The system can install 7-12 micropiles per day, offering a faster installation timeline compared to other methods, which results in quicker project completion.

Minimal Client Involvement

The GEO team handles the entire installation process, requiring little to no support from the client. This reduces the burden on the client and ensures smooth operations throughout the project.

Benefits of Micropiling

No Heavy Machinery Needed

Micropiling does not require large, heavy equipment, making it more cost-effective and accessible for various sites.

High Mobility

The system is highly mobile, allowing it to be used in tight or hard-to-reach spaces, such as inside existing buildings or during renovations, without disrupting ongoing operations.

Efficient Work Process

The use of a simple mortar mixer, operated by the same workforce on-site, eliminates the need for additional machinery or facilities, streamlining the process.

Micropile

How it works

The process involves the installation of micropiles, which are made from carbon steel or ductile cast iron pipes, driven into the ground using a tripod arrangement. The pipes are manually fed into the hole, and the micropiles are hammered down to the required depth, depending on the load requirements and the soil’s bearing capacity.

Once the pile reaches the necessary depth, it is grouted with simple mortar to secure it in place and transfer the load to the surrounding soil. These micropiles can bear a load ranging from 5 to 50 metric tonnes, depending on the soil conditions. They are connected to each other using a patented connection system by ARCOS, which enables quick and efficient connections with minimal manual effort, allowing for higher production. The micropiles are then linked to a pile cap in either groups or individually, using a mesh arrangement to ensure even load distribution. This method ensures a strong and stable foundation, adaptable to different soil conditions and capable of supporting substantial loads.
